Trail Blazers PG Damian Lillard was injured with a groin injury, in the fourth quarter of the Trail Blazers game Wednesday. Lillard was quick to announce that he will not play in the All-Star Game (although he will still perform there). By rule, the NBA commissioner chooses his replacement given he was a non-starter. Devin Booker, averaging 26.4 ppg on 49.9% shooting was chosen to replace Lillard. This is Booker’s first All-Star Game although he has participated in other events. Booker will also replace Lillard in the 3-point contest.
