NHL Announced Plans To Go Straight To Playoffs If Play Resumes With 24 Teams Instead Of 16

The NHL announced that if play were to resume, the remainder of the regular season would be skipped. This change would also be accompanied by an adjusted playoff format with 24 teams instead of the normal 16 teams.
